SUBSTANCE ADDICTION

DRUG ADDICTION

Introduction

Drug use changes the way the brain works and causes unusual behaviors.

It is known as drug addiction, or drug addiction, the frequent consumption of narcotics, despite knowing the negative consequences they produce. Among other things, they modify the functioning of the brain and its structure, causing dangerous behaviors.

t is considered addiction, because it is difficult to try to stop consuming them, since they cause brain alterations in the regulatory mechanisms of decision-making and inhibitory control and because the user of them spends a large part of his time in the search and consumption of them .

Classification of drugs

According to the scientific community and based on pharmacological elements, they are divided into:

Euphoric:  Opium and its derivatives, as well as cocaine

Fantastic: Mezcalin, marijuana and henbane, among others

Intoxicating: Alcohol, ether, chloroform, and benzine

Hypnotic:  Barbiturates and other sleeping pills

Exciting:  Caffeine and tobacco, among others

Prevention Measures against Addictions

To prevent the addictive phenomenon it is recommended:

1. Integrate the Family in an environment of communication, respect and trust.

2. Establish bonds of affection and positive coexistence with family, groups of friends, neighbors, teachers, etc.

3. Recognize our children achievements, abilities and personal capacities.

4. Create the habit of studying, reading and participating in activities outside of school.

The most frequent signs that minors may be in contact with drugs are:

Tendency to loneliness.

Constant changes in behavior.

Difficulty assuming responsibilities.

Decrease in school performance.

Sudden change in friendships.

Lack of interest in activities that you used to like.

Sleeps a lot or hardly sleeps.

You always need money or you have a lot of money.

Decrease your appetite.

Say lies.

There are petty thefts at home.

CONCLUSION:

We should as human beings accompany those people who need us, who seek an affection in drugs either because they feel alone or because we simply do not combine with others, I recommend both people and people who consume these substances to that they reflect a little on their lives and how it would be different if we first measured the consequences before entering an endless fall in the world of drugs, a difficult place to leave if we do not have a good willpower of ourselves to love get out of that endless cycle.
